about

I decided I wanted to record a song about street food (my fourth fast food song). I was also inspired by B.A. Robertson's work on the Swap Shop theme music, and the Swap Shop band, Brown Sauce. That became the title track, Street Food.

And then, well, I needed a few more. So we've got a Chicory Tip tribute (Mary Drinks Mild), a track that takes a cod-reggae song by Smokie as its inspiration (Do You Like Drawing?), and Supersnout, a heavy banger that started as a tribute to The Crunch by The Rah Band, and turned into a squelchy KPM-style instrumental.

Why is it by Drawing Club and not Ballard? Because the voices on Street Food, the ones that read the different types of street food out, are all provided by members of a regular Sunday Drawing Club that I attend online. They're all ace and continue to be so.
